Constantly Comparing

We now live in a world that unless taught and shown otherwise, forces us to constantly compare ourselves to what seems like everything. We compare ourselves to others, to our former selves, even to celebrities that are put on display, filtered with photo shop and a far reach from who they really are underneath all the makeup.

How do we sift through all this to find time to really take a look at ourselves without judgment? I not sure even the majority of us know what that feels like! We are trained to be our own worst enemies, never looking at someone else without feeling superior or inferior in some way. The thoughts that we continually think, because of these falsehoods, then turn into beliefs of the need for excessive make up, unworthiness, destructive self-doubt, lack of confidence, the list goes on and on. When will we wake up and understand that although we are a part of a society that demands us to be the same and that shuns us if we aren’t. WE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!

How could we be?! Each and every one of us are unique in every single way possible, from our parents, our situations growing up all the way down to our very DNA. We are literal miracles! Even with all this knowledge we have “amassed” we really still have no idea how it is we function. How our very bodies carry out the nearly infinite number of processes each second. The 1000’s of gallons of blood that is pumped around our systems while being oxygenated. The millions of cells that die and are reborn each moment we are alive. Each body knowing what to do and what is best for each individual without rest or a break, ever!

Why do we separate and segregate each other in our minds following blindly a system that clearly doesn’t work and creates so much unhappiness and division between us. Each of us have incredible unique talents and gifts, and given the chance to be the unique beings that we are this would be clear.

Everybody is a Genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid” – Albert Einstein

This amazing quote really sums it up!

This incredible man that changed the face of the planet, each of us know his name and each of us look up to him as a great being of intelligence and wisdom. How do we still do the opposite of not only his words but the teachings of almost all the timeless icons of the ages have said. “Treat others as you would want to be treated” “Judge not others, for ye be judged yourself”

Why is it that when we look at others that have more than us, we either resent them for it or feel inferior? Why is it that when we see someone with almost nothing that we think ourselves better or lack the courage for a kind word or action? We are only separated from each other by the false barriers created in our minds. There is an incredible shift happening at the moment and more and more of mankind is waking up to the illusion of this destructive system that we are living in.

Stop comparing yourself to others, or comparing others to you! You are not the clothes you wear, or the car you drive, or the house you live in. Beyond all that we have, we are human beings and we need to start BEING instead of always seeking for more. Don’t be afraid to share a smile even if no one smiles back. Don’t be afraid to compliment someone randomly you just don’t know how much it may mean. Stop being afraid of what others may think of you… we are human and as imperfect as we all are… each and every one of us is perfect.
